Location and Tickets

Right in the middle of the Pitt Street Mall, which is the centre of the Sydney CBD, is the Sydney Tower Eye.  Entrance is via the escalators inside the Westfield Shopping Centre.  Which, by the why, is a fantastic place for lunch.

Tickets for the Sydney Tower Eye can vary according to which experience you would like to do.  Buying online can be cheaper and buying the Merlin Pass means you can return more than once.  Have a look at the different types of tickets HERE.

The Experience at Sydney Tower Eye

Once you have organised your tickets and through the gates there is a 4D cinema experience that gives an insight into Sydney and the wonderful adventures that can be had in Sydney.  It is then time to head up the elevators to the internal observation deck.  Here you have an unlimited time to walk around the deck and take in the whole view of Sydney.  it is amazing being up so high and seeing as far as the eye can see.  The kids loved spotting attractions that we had just been walking amongst.  They even were able to spot Madam Tussaud’s which we had visited that morning.  Read about our visit to Madam Tussaud’s here.

Recommendations

It had been decades since I had been up Sydney Tower Eye.  When I was little it was called Centrepoint Tower and it was a place that every little kid dreamed of visiting.  Our visit this time did not disappoint.  The whole family enjoyed the visit and it is a place that we could return to more than once,  We would love to head back for sunset or to try the SkyWalk External Observation Deck.

When in Sydney you may want to try these ideas on what to do and see.
